Where the clean towels are, and whether the bathroom door actually locks. I never know why that last one feels awkward to ask.
Where the bin is and what the household normally does with rubbish. Clear information saves an awkward little tour of the room.
The door does lock, but it needs a firm turn. That is exactly the sort of thing I would have forgotten to say.
