Mine is the assumption that liking diapers tells someone my entire personality. It doesn't tell them whether I want a relationship, what role I enjoy, or even whether I like the same things as the next ABDL person.
I notice myself bracing for that assumption whenever I see a video or interview about us. I'd like more room for people who don't have a particularly tidy explanation of themselves. Which cliché makes you sigh?

That every interest must have one neat origin story. If somebody asked why I like diapers, I'd have a few thoughts and some uncertainty. I wouldn't have a dramatic reveal ready for the final five minutes of an interview.

The idea that every ABDL woman must want to look after somebody. I like wearing couches myself. Getting to know me would be a better start than assigning me a role. Also, I have apparently switched languages halfway through this sentence. Diapers. You know what I mean.

I get tired of the opposite pressure too: feeling that I have to sound exceptionally sensible whenever ABDL comes up, as if I'm representing everyone. I'd like to be allowed an ordinary awkward conversation.
