Has anyone here worn a diaper for a flight? I sometimes wear at home, but travelling in one feels like a different decision.
I'm thinking about the whole day, really: getting to the airport, waiting around, then sitting on the plane. I'd like to hear what you actually packed and whether it felt comfortable once you were underway. Would you do it again, or was it more hassle than it was worth?

I wore one on a trip to Scotland. For me it was an extra precaution because I hoped to nap and didn't want to spend the flight worrying about when I could next get to the toilet. That was my reason for choosing it, anyway.
I used a diaper I'd already tried at home and wore loose trousers. A spare and a disposal bag went in my hand luggage where I could reach them without emptying the whole thing. I still used the airport toilets before boarding.
The part I hadn't thought enough about was how warm I'd feel walking through the terminal with my bag. Once seated I was comfortable, but next time I'd dress more lightly. I'd do it again for a longer travel day. For a short flight with very little waiting, I'm not sure I'd bother.

I've done it too. The useful bit of preparation was putting the spare things in a small pouch. Standing in a tiny cubicle digging through a backpack would have annoyed me much more than the flight itself. I also allowed time to change before heading on from the airport.

Tried it once and didn't particularly enjoy it. I kept noticing the fit whenever I moved in the seat. At home the same diaper had seemed fine. I'd rather save wearing for when I get to the hotel, personally.

Thanks, this is the sort of detail I was after. Especially the sitting-down part and having the spare things easy to reach. I think I'll try a longer stretch at home in the clothes I'd travel in before deciding.
