Following up on my earlier question about wording: I had an accident during a journey and had to stop to change. I'm leaving out the details. The part I wanted to share is that I got home, put clean clothes on and made dinner. At the time it felt like the whole day had become that one incident. It hadn't.
I'm glad you posted the evening part. When I feel embarrassed I tend to stop the story at the worst moment.
No advice from me. Just glad you got home and had a normal evening after a hard trip.
